Paul
I should have it on Thursday and am rehearsing for a Concert on Thursday night. I'll drop you a line on Friday and let you know how it works out since I'll be pushing it hard at the practice.
But I have to tell you this....I've had my 20/20 for 6 years, and I have NEVER had one once of trouble from it. No matter how hard I push it ,it runs cool with the internal fan. I've pushed a 1x12..2x12..4x10 and Full Stack with it,and it just rocks. With a Mic on my Cabinet...I played last week to a packed Venue of 700 + people and she cut right through. It's a little monster ! 40 watts of Mesa Boogie is 200 watts of anything else man. I lugged around a 50/50 for over a year....and I gotta tell you...this 20/20 is just as hot
and MUCH lighter. I play Venues that range from 100 people to a 1000, plus I studio session a lot. This amp covers it all.
I've got two of them and won't part with either one. You can even hook one up as a Slave to the other and double your power if need be. The Rocktron is and amp I'm using for my home studio and some smaller venues when I have to spread myself out. But the Boogie 20/20 is the way to go dude. Talk to you Friday. Tony

Tony - thanks for the info. Let me know how the rocktron amp works out for you - I am curious to see how it performs. May have to look into selling my 2:90 and getting a 20/20, sounds like it really packs a punch for the size!

> I'll tell you what I did, I sold it and bought a Mesa Boogie 20/20. What a little Monster !! I mike my cab through the PA and play Medium to Large venues that hold over 500 people and I still only crank it half way !! I bought the Rocktron as a back up. This little Boogie rocks !!
> But I researched the Rocktrons. The NEW Velocity 100's get great reviews. The 120's not so good. Over heating problems that shut the amps down. So stay with the Velocity 100. The new ones have plenty of venting and a fan to keep things cool. I'd keep a few extra fuses too..just to be careful. But If I were you dude..I'd get a Mesa 20/20. Runs on 4 EL84's and 3 12ax7s....Built like tank...Never fails ,One rack Space and kicks ass. Tony

I am considering a Rocktron Velocity 100, and just wondering if anyone has any experience using this and how it sounds with the 2101 or any other one-space power amps that are reasonably priced.
