Tony:;You don't mention which version EPROMs you have installed in your GSP-2101. I'm going to assume it's version 3.00.00. If your EPROMs are pre-3.00.00, you'll have to adapt the following scheme according to the manual for the older EPROM version.I've copied 4 help topics from our MIDIWizard Help File. Please follow these instructions to see if it resolves the CC problem. If the following scheme does not resolve the problem, I must assume your GSP-2101 has a hardware problem.;***********************************************************************Expression Pedal CalibrationBefore you can use the internal or external expression pedal, you must calibrate it. MIDIWizard cant automate this process for you. Youll have to resort to some button pushing. Press the [Utility] button and then function key [2] to access the Foot Controller menu.;Press function key [3] to access the Continuous Control menu (Expression Pedals and CC Transmit Setup menu) and then function key [3] again to access the Expression Pedal CC Assign and CC Transmit Setup menu.Next, press function key [1] to access the Expression (CC) Pedal Calibration menu. To calibrate the built-in expression pedal on the Control One or GSP-2101FC or the left pedal on the Johnson J-12, press function key [1]. To calibrate a second expression pedal attached to your Control One or GSP-2101FC or the right pedal on your J-12, press function key [2].Move the expression pedal to its full forward toe-down position and then press the function key [1]. This step establishes the pedals maximum control value. Next, move the expression pedal to its full back toe-up position and then press the function key [2]. This step establishes the pedals minimum control value.Press the [Utility] button to exit the pedal calibration menu.***********************************************************************Using an Expression Pedal as a Volume Pedal, Wah Wah, etc.Your expression pedal(s) can be linked to one or more program parameters. Typically, youll want to control parameters like the Master Volume or the Pedal Position of a Traditional Wah effect. For each user program, at most 10 program parameters can be linked to your expression pedal(s). If you have only one pedal, this means your pedal can control up to 10 parameters. If you have two pedals, they can share control of up to 10 parameters.***********************************************************************Assigning Control of a New Parameter to an Expression PedalFrom your programs title screen, use the [Previous] or [Next] arrow buttons and the function keys [1], [2], or [3] to select the parameter you wish to link to the expression pedal. Next, press the [Link] button. At this point, your 2101s LED displays the message Select a Foot Switch. Move your expression pedal to link it to the selected parameter. Your 2101s LED confirms the new link.Press function key [2] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the full back toe-up pedal position. Press function key [3] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the full forward toe-down pedal position. The default values are the parameters minimum and maximum values respectively. If you want to invert the effect of your expression pedal, set the Min Value greater than the Max Value. Its usually difficult to know what minimum and maximum values you should select at this point. After playing with the expression pedal for a while, youll want to change these settings. The help topic entitled Changing Minimum and Maximum Foot Switch or Expression Pedal Settings describes how to do this.Press the [Link] button to exit the link menu. Remember to press the [Store] button if you wish to save your updated program.***********************************************************************Changing Minimum and Maximum Foot Switch or Expression Pedal SettingsFrom your programs title screen, use the [Previous] or [Next] arrow buttons and the function keys [1], [2], or [3] to select the parameter whose minimum and maximum values you wish to adjust. Your 2101 displays a small CC symbol after the name of any parameter that is currently linked to a foot switch or expression pedal.Press and hold the [MIDI] button until your 2101s LED displays Assigning CC/FS and then release the [MIDI] button. Use function key [2] to display the Min/Max options. For a parameter linked to an expression pedal, press function key [2] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the full back toe-up pedal position. Press function key [3] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the full forward toe-down pedal position. If you want to invert the effect of your expression pedal, set the Min Value greater than the Max Value. For a parameter linked to a foot switch, press function key [2] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the OFF switch setting. Press function key [3] and use the DATA wheel to specify the parameter value corresponding to the ON switch setting.Press the [MIDI] button to exit the Min/Max menu. Remember to press the [Store] button if you wish to save your updated program.***********************************************************************Let me know if the above scheme solves the CC problemGraham----- Original Message -----From: TonySent: Monday, July 19, 2010 7:08 AMSubject: [gsp-2101] Won't send CC Commands to Control OneI have a situation with one of my GSP 2101s. It's an Artist model. The problem is, the unit will not send a CC Command to my FCOne Foot Controller. For example....On a program where I have the Master Volume on 9 Max and 12 Min... When I step on the Real Time Peddl to raise the Volume from Max ( 9 ) to Min ( 12) nothing happens....I tried changing cords and also tried 2 other Control Ones that I have, but it's all the same. All other midi functions are fine. And it's the same on any program on any bank for any algorithim.
I have a feeling this is not going to be and easy fix... any 'Techies' out there have any thoughts ? Thanks. Tony

Hi Graham
Yes, I do have the 3.00.00 versions in all
3 of my 2101's... The Models are 2 Artists and an Artist Pro Silver Face. All
also have PPC-210 Cards. It's the Original Artist Model that I purchased new in
'96 that has developed the problem.
Yes, I'm familiar with the help topics you
so kindly listed below.
Actually, whenever I switch off to a
different Control One peddle, I calibrate it to the 2101 I'm switching
too.
I'm so taken with these units that the GSP
2101 is the only Processor I've used in the past 14 years. That's why I have 2
Back ups. They are starting to developed some glitches here and there because of
age and use I guess... On the Control One , I've to replace the triggers on more
then half of my peddles on two of them. But this problem here is a bit over my
head, that's why, I'm reaching out. Digitech does not support the units anymore,
so I'm asking people more knowledgeable then myself what they think the problem
may be.
Thanks for your advice.
Tony
