RE: [gsp-2101] EQ's not effective

2010-08-04 by M M

The EQ's on both my units are working good. All I can think to suggest is a factory reset and see if that cures it. Do a dump/backup of your work first if you don't want to lose any patches/algs you have created. You might also want to change the battery while your at it.

Subject: [gsp-2101] EQ's not effective

Hello group, I am a new member and I want to thank everyone for their contributions here on the list past and present. The information that is here is an invaluable resource for those of us that have only recently begun our journey into this wonder-box. My LE has kept me busy exploring and experimenting for the past two weeks and I am so amazed at the sounds I am beginning to produce. Now, as I have started trying to tailor my sound more with EQ settings, I have realized that I am not hearing any boosting or cutting of any of the frequencies I am trying to tweak. Neither the Global EQ or the FX GEQ modules seem to have any effect. Is there any known problems with these units that the community is aware of? Is there perhaps something I am doing wrong or do I need to see about getting it serviced? Has anyone had experience in this area that they could share? Any idea of what costs might be involved? Thank you, kind folks, for any information or suggestions that anyone can offer and although our units may be showing the signs of an aging icon, I am astonished at the sounds I am able to get with it so far. I am also grateful for this community and the people who take the time to respond.
