I would sat the Line 6 helix, just bought one and it has the same flexible routing system, not quite as flexible but almost. The feature that makes it the winner for me is the tempo synced delays, it listens to midi clock.

I've tried just about every rack-mounted multi-effects unit under the sun, looking for something that was manufactured more recently than the now 25-year old GSP-2101. I've not found anything that can beat the GSP-2101's flexibility or quality of build. The DigiTech 2112 and 2120 follow-ups were disappointing - they were just dumbed-down versions of the 2101. The GSP1101 is crap compared to the 2101. I've even tried some non-rack mounted units such as the Eventide H9 MAX - not near as flexible or packed with features compared to the GSP-2101.

So I pose this question: What are you looking for that the GSP-2101 doesn't have? I can't think of any DSP effects that the GSP-2101 does not have. Perhaps you think a higher analog-to-digital or digital-to-analog sample rate is attractive? That may be good for studio recording but, I assure you, in a live gig situation, your audience will not hear any improvement.

The DigiTech team that designed the GSP-2101 really excelled, not just because of the hardware design but also because of the substantial MIDI interface they provided. The only thing not available to MIDI interface developers is a means of transferring new user algorithms via MIDI.

So let me hear from you. What modern rack-mounted multi-effects unit puts the GSP-2101 to shame?

Following this hoping for a resolution. I've got 2 aging units. .. might be time to try a gforce or sumpin.
