New Patches on Website!

2001-04-03 by Steve Schow

Dieter has submitted some patches to share, they're on the website now:

   BURST-PATCHES:
Burst- Patches are patches, which generate a signal which is called "Burst"
by electricians.
That means a tone, which is switched totally off, then on, off, on .......
and so on.
I never saw a burst- patch at the net, so I want to explain how you can
create such a patch.
You need a gate (not a Noise- Gate!) at the output- section, which is
triggerd by a signal- generator.
As gate you can use a ducker, which is set to -100 dB for the attenuation.
And as signal generator you use the Tuning Reference connected to a Tremolo.
That's it!

To the Patches:
Equipment I use:
GSP 2101 v3.00.00.a (20 MHz), PPC 210 (you don't need it for the Burst-
Patches),

Gain-Setting: Artist- Level, Stereo- Mode, Global EQ: flat, Ruby- Tubes,
Becks- Beer :-)
If you dump the patches, they will be stored to program 100, if you use
normal dumping- software.

The first Patch which shows how it works is the patch "Burst.syx"
Check it out!

If you speed up the trigger- frequency, you generate a sound, like
tremolo-picking.
Next Patch: "AutoTremolopick.syx"

Then you can add any effect, and you'll get seldom sounds.
Try: "BurstyDelay.syx"

If you connect the input signal to the Tone Reference, the guitar- signal
will be added to the signal- generator- signal, and so you create a burst,
wich occurs, if the signal from the guitar is loud enough.
That sounds like a "RandomBurst.syx".
