Hi Ryan: I've included copies of messages I sent about two months ago to another GSP-2101 owner who was trying to decide whether or not to upgrade his 2101 to Version 3.00 "software". Hope this helps. GP ***************************** Your GSP-2101's software version is displayed during the GSP-2101 power-up sequence. Make special note of whether or not a lower case "a" follows the software version. If it does not, this means you're running a 10MHz clock rather than the newer 20MHz clock. If this is the case and you want to upgrade your software to the latest version 3.00, you'll need to return your GSP-2101 to the DOD factory in Sandy Utah so they can install the new clock for you. Unless you live near Dieter Waechter in Germany. He can probably install the new clock for you in his sleep. Upgrading your GSP-2101 to Version 3.00 firmware is not a bad idea. You'll get lots of new features for the price of the two chips. They auction on eBay regularly for less than $25. Version 3.00 also allows you to use various software packages available for remotely controlling your GSP-2101 should you be interested in that avenue. Best Regards, Graham Pearson ***************************** So without the lower-case "a", this means you have the 10MHz clock. To upgrade to Software version 3.00, I think you will need to upgrade to the 20MHz clock also. I don't know how to upgrade the clock but you can contact DOD / Digitech directly and ask them if this is possible for you to perform without having to send your unit back to them in the USA. Their web site is http://www.digitech.com/ They have a form you can fill in on-line to ask for technical support: http://www.digitech.com/contact.htm Installing version 3.00 EPROMS is easy. You simply pull out the old chips (two of them) and insert the new pair, making sure you have them oriented correctly and that all the legs are correctly seated in their slots. Best Regards, Graham Pearson
