Looks like you already solved your problem... Soldano out -> Digi Effects return* -> Digi Out -> Power Amp * - if your soldano has mono out plug it to the left channel Like this you can't use the digitech pre but you will use it as effects and eq if you chose the right algorithms. Don't give up on digitech pre you can use some of the sounds it has to offers if twicked right.
