The GT-PRO is all you can think of and more...
It has the best overdrive sound I ever heard, except the real thing, but if
placed side by side, a blind test would be very interesting. It emulates
very, very, very, very, very, very, very good the fender twin amp and some
other great amps. The boosters like the DS-1, Tube Screams, and so on work
very well and sound great. The Heavier sounds are also very good. The sounds
designed for solos, like the ones with the Peavey 5150 and just fu**ing
great. But... it does not have the flexibility of the 2101. So I'm keeping
my baby. The sinth effects and wave are crap, very noise. The wah is better
than the real thing. My carvin likes it also and the pedal simulators work
great before my carvin. My Marshall 9005 amp does help, but it is a very
good guitar simulator.

MY 2101 STILL ROCKS, and STILL WILL. REVERV, DELAY, AND WEARD EFECCTS ONLY,
BUT STILL ROCKS.

Pedro,

So you already bought a GT-PRO? Whoooa. How do you like it? Could
you please compare it side to side to the 2101?

I had great expectations about it, especially since it had some
similar features to the 2101 and good looking expandability. But
then, when I recently checked out the manual on-line, I got a bit
disappointed about the FX list and capabilities. I'm missing things
like the awesome multi-band digital EQ on the 2101.

On the other hand, you're saying you use it for heavier sounds than
the Quad-X????? I'm really intrigued by that. I use a Triaxis and
have never tried the Quad-X but would normally think they are
probably "moderately similar" in distortion capability. But you like
the GT's solid state modeling one better?

Gus.
