RE: [gsp-2101] cleans turn dirty

2005-10-14 by Mark Libby

That makes a lot of sense, I have the 2101 sandwiched between a Furman and a Korg. I don't think either of those get hot. Perhaps the 2101 just heats itself up, it does take hours before the distortion sets in. Maybe leaving a space with a vent above the 2101 would help, no spaces left though, are there ever enough??

Maybe heat related?

Subject: [gsp-2101] cleans turn dirty

Hi everybody,

I've been using my 2101 on the weekend playing for about 5 hours. I have great sounding cleans. However, after a few hours use the cleans are not so clean any more and have distortion. Is this a sign of needing new tubes or..???

Thanks,

Mark
