Expression pedals with 2101

2007-02-03 by metalminstrel1

I am considering buying an expression pedal for my 2101 w/ pedalboard.
What are good ones to get? What is everyone out there using? I have
read that alot of volume pedals will not function as expression
pedals. Help me out guys. I don't want to buy a pedal that will not
work with my GSP-2101. Thanks everyone.

Check out the Behringer FCB1010. I has 10 program change buttons capable of sending program changes to 5 individual units each on different midi channels or

I use a Roland EV-5 which cost me $65 back in 1994. It works well with my Control One as a second expression pedal. ; I'm sure you can find a cheap one on eBay.

I had from elder days an Ernie Ball Stereo Pedal (In/out from the side, in
front), and it didnt work (in 2120). I found out it has to have at least
500kOhm, otherwise you are not able to control the whole "range" (0-127 if
I remember right). But I did not buy another one and have be careful with
my big boots ;-)

Best regards,

Kay

I already have a Control One, which I forgot to mention. I just want to find a better expression pedal than the one on the Control One. Thanks for the input though. I appreciate it. Thanks

I has 10 program change buttons capable of sending program changes to 5 individual units each on different midi channels or note messages (for a synth or sampler), bank up/down, 2 expression pedals, midi in out/thru, 2 programmable remote switch actuators (comes in handy for amps or pedals/devices with remote switch jacks). It\ufffds pretty reasonable at around $150 (you can find them cheap on eBay because people get frustrated trying to program them). If you use one of the excellent 3rd party PC interfaces programming and understanding how they work becomes easier. One thing to keep in mind is you may have to calibrate the expression pedals before use, but the procedure is fairly straightforward.

Thanks Graham. That's very helpful to know you have used it with your Control One. (that was exactly what I was looking for). Thanks.
