Check this steps: 1. connect both, MIDI IN and MIDI OUT to MIDI OUT and MIDI In of your soundcard or midibox. 2. use dumpster 3. check the midi-setup of your computer- is MIDI OUT active???? (important... maybe midi out is switched off in the soundcard- setup) 4. check the midi-setup of dumpster. use the right output! 5. set the dumpster program ready to receive midi-sysex. 6. go to the MIDI- menu on the GSP 2101: send Bulk- Dump.... and send bulk dump. The 2101 shows the number bytes to send. 7. when the 2101 is ready click on "done" AT THE DUMPSTER PROG: 8. save the file and then check the file... it must have the same number of bytes, the 2101 has sent. 9. leave the midi menue on the 2101 10. set dumpster to "send midi sysex data"... and press start. 11. the 2101 says "receiving midi sysex data" 12. check the number of received bytes in midi- menue on the 2101. that's it. tell me if it still doesn't work.... and on which step a failure appears.
