I recommend: for V1: RT 030 (Ruby Tubes) for V2: RT 003 (Ruby Tubes) these are the best tubes you can get in Germany at present. But ruby tubes deliver all over the world. Dieter

Which tubes do you recommend for the 2101 instead of the Groove Tubes ? FYI, I'm goona use the shimmering and swelling presets only ! No digital built-in distorsion but the harmonizer mainly. Thank you Dieter, Martin Lavallee Quest4toneca ----- Original Message ----- From: Dieter Waechter To: Martin Lavallee Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2002 1:23 PM Subject: Re: GSP 2101 variations No- buy the Artist. There is no tonal difference. (Except the Groove- Tubes) Check the Revision history. But.... you can replace the tubes if you want. The Artist is the latest, the LE (with Artist Upgrade) is the best. But don't think about that. You can upgrade every 2101 to LE with Artist upgrade. We'll help you to upgrade!" I'm planning to buy a used Artist Model at 350 $US tomorrow. Should I let it go and search for an LE model ? What is really the tonal difference if I only want to use the unit for 2 or 3 factory presets (String Volume Swell, Auto Volume Swell, and ...shimmering presets) to get U2 The Edge shimmering orchestral sounds in stereo directly in the house P.A. in combination with my dry sound miked from my amp on the stage.
