Analog EQ out, please help!!!

Analog EQ out, please help!!!

2009-08-31 by Marko Menart

Well, here we go again!

The analog EQ (global too!) of my GSP 2101 has stopped working again! Well not quite, I mean, stored patches sounds just as they were stored with EQ and everything, but I can't edit EQ anymore (graphically everything is OK), so I guess EQ is not the problem, but maybe the control of it.

I did all possible resets, checked the battery.

Before I take my beloved 2101 to a repairman I'd like to hear from you guys what could be wrong???

Analog EQ out, please help!!!

Hello guys!

My EQ problem stays the same, no matter what I do. So tomorrow I'm taking my GSP 2101 to the "hospital".

Somehow I get an idea that maybe not all memory was reseted. Is this possible? What exactly gets reseted when performing a factory reset?

Best regards, Marko

Analog EQ out, please help!!!

Hello! It's me again!

I got my GSP back from the "hospital", cured of course. The problem was chip which controls the analog EQ. Now that it's replaced with new one, everything works as it should! Thank god!

When I mounted it back in my rack and connected it with Triaxis in many ways, I noticed that analogue part of GSP is more of a "tone eater" than digital part. Strange, I thought that it's way around?!! Is this true with other GSPs as well, or is it just mine?

I really want to have abbility to use the silent tunning option and a bit of a compression on clean sounds, so I have to plug my guitar into input of GSP. So, what other possibilities do I have, besides buying some kind of mixer to preserve as much pure tone as possible? Any idea?

Best regards, Marko
