Hi all!
I bought my GSP2101 back in 1996. I'm gonna change battery for the first time since, but I don't wanna loose my patches.
I've tried the editing software in here:
but none of them work.
Does anybody know where can I find a good software to do the bulk dump?
Thanks in advance

Is this available for Mac.
Separate question: What is the "minimum" type midi interface hardware that can be used.
I have many units that are not getting use because of this.
Note: My TC Nova can be plugged into USB with adapt cable.
Thanks
Todd

I tried one of those cheapo midisport uno's once and it wasn't able to handle a sysx dump. I think those are only for playing notes and stuff. Either that or I got one of the defective ones (they did have a recall). I have a midisport 2X2 now that is pretty solid. The Edirol stuff seems pretty good. My old delta 1010 has rock solid midi but that is a PCI device.

I bought a Cakewalk UM-1Gusb/midi interface for less than $50 and it has served me well for the last couple of years‎. Only problem is that I don't think it's available anymore. I use it with MidiWizard & my 2101's. Hope it never dies on me because I can't find them even on ebay. *fingers crossed*

Good luck.

It never fails, you find something you like, and they stop making it...

Yeah like the good ol 2101 itself.

I actually got that Cakewalk UM-1G‎usb/midi interface at Sam Ash Music in San Antonio. ‎Maybe call the Sam Ash in your area see if they have one in old stock. I've known no one else who has used one so that tells me that maybe they weren't great sellers which also might be why they discontinued making them.

Good luck man.

I just picked up a used midisport 2X2 that seems fairly solid (unlike the midisport UNO).
