overclock upgrade question

hi, i have the instructions for the 10mhz -> 20mhz upgrade but i'm stuck where i remove the cable from the output pot. there is a plastic housing that the cable connects to in the mainboard, i was able to pop off the top of it, but the cable is stuck in the bracket. i don't want to pry it out and screw up my 2101, any suggestions from ppl that have done this? thanks
