string volume swell and "shimmer"

hi there
i am just about to buy a 2101
and i was wondering is the "string volume swell" patch found on 
all 2101's  not just on 2101 artist, or other versions??
i am looking to get the "shimmer" sound referred to on many u2 
pages....
please respond asap

The string volume swell patch was on there before I upgraded my bare bones basic 2101 up to the Full Blown Artist. So,... Yes. Every single Sdisc 2101 out there should be able to pull it off.
