Faulty rear input?

Hey all- I have a GSP2101 LE unit. When I plug in to the rear input jack, I can faintly hear the signal - but NOTHING compared to what I get when I plug into the front jack. Does anyone else notice this? Can this be repaired? Any help is appreciated. Thanks!! -- Jeff
