Is there anyone using any pre amp or amp simulators in front of the GSP 2101, If so what are you using. I am wanting to put something else in my rack unit to work with the GSP 2101. Any help wold greatly be appriciated.

The only processor I use other than my 2101 is a
Tech21 SansAmp PSA-1. It supplements the distortion sounds of the 2101
nicely.

I hear MesaBoogie Quad Pre is tits. I personally only run my guitar to Morley wah, to the 2101 to a BBE 882 and then directly to my modified Marshall 9200 ( 4 EL34 on one side and 4 5881 on the other). The tube amp gives a much needed warm tone and the BBE is unbelivable in brightening up everything; Can't live without it. Also I have tried various Preamp tubes both in my amp and the 2101..... I found the EH12AX7 Electro-Harmonix an all around musical screamer! Also if looking for a more mellow, softer tone and extremly quiet, the Sovtek LPS12AX7 is a good choice but not as much sonic detail. ** If any one interested, I have NEW (2) matched pairs of Sovtek 12AX7LPS for sale.
