My GSP Effects Loop Solution

My GSP Effects Loop Solution

Hi All,

I just thought I would add some very simple DIY insight....I recently
bought an SWR (Strawberry Blonde) and love the tone. I want to use
much of the GSP as possible without losing alot of the amp's
personality....According the the GSP, they want you to run from the
second input from the amp- INTO the GSP input (see page 89 of the
manual or page 91 from the Manual PDF)...well I don't have 2
inputs to on the SWR....easy fix right? Just buy a mono- "y" and all
is fine. Sure, that will work.
But For me, I just don't like the idea of this thing dangling off
either the processor or the SWR. Besides, I am little rough on the
cords and don't think this thing would last too long for me. To get
to the point,
I bought 3 1/4" mono female input jacks and a 3x2x1 inch plastic
project box.
I dremeled out 2 holes on 1 side, 1 on the other (so the jacks
fit)snug. Soldered wire connecting tips to the tips and the sleeves
to the sleeves.
So I have 1 input, 2 outs- same as a "Y" connector.

Guitar ----->[IN]
	       |_[OUT]->to  GSP input

From here, I can velcro it to the back of the amp or the inside of my
SKB case and use the rear input of the GSP.

Costs about the same as a decent "Y"....
The only difference is that I can use whatever length cables I want.
I am not limited to the 3" mono "Y"....and if it "breaks" I can fix it!
