If you have a Kawai branch in your country, you could phone them and ask for K5 tech info. I did that with the German branch for info on converting my unit to 220V. They may sell pianos only nowadays, but they still have techs with knowledge (or at least documentation) on the old synths.
I still have to replace my old LCD so will give them a call again soon, so if you don't find anything, let me know and I'll try to get you your info from Kawai Germany.
By the way, did anybody mod their K5m's enclosure for better heat dissipation? I find the thing terribly cramped and it does get hot. Do like the tabletop option tho = would like to keep the slanted back, so not sure yet what to do.

I should receive it tomorrow actually. I will take very good care of it. Did you change the display yourself? If so, if you happen to have the part numbers still, my other K5m still has its original screen/backlight and it's pretty dim. I've already had to relocate the battery, it was leaking so I mounted a AA size 3.6v lithium on the transformer. I know I can perform the work, I just haven't done enough research.
