You read my other message, actually I'm now sure the 27SF512 is 
compatible with it :
-Greater voltage range than the 27C512(Made to replace the CMOS one)
-Tells it can replace the 27 UV eproms
-Has 27 and 512 in the name
-Better access time

The only problem is that the only not so cheap(32euros with the cheapest 
version, single sided board) programmer available DIY looks complicated 
to build(when not in kit) and the software is for advanced users(And 
even there, you'll need support).
