What are you planning to do for the ROM upgrade? There are a lot of solutions possible : - Send the ROM to Kawai and they send you an other, - Bring the ROM file and the chip to someone with an EPROM eraser and burner, - You have an eraser and programmer and are going to do it or - You have a programmer and will use a compatible 28-pin Flash ROM replacement. The only problem with sending the ROM to Kawai is that they don't all have the same ROMs. Kawai UK has v1.3 for K5 and v1.2 for K5m while Kawai US has v1.2 for both. yahdaws a \ufffdcrit : > I'm new to this group and just wanted to make a post and say hello. > Haven't used my K5 (and k5m) since the atari days and know that i've > fixed the EL's and button's, the time is up for an eprom upgrade and > level fix.
