Hi guys, here's the answer Kawai sent me about a K5 display replacement: "We have the K5M display in stock . $179.20 plus S/H , to be determined , payable on credit card or money order . No personal checks . Get us your address, ph#, card info including the security code & we'll ship it International Economy . Sales tax added where applicable". Comments are welcome...

Amazing! So far they had the inverter for my K5, mod wheel for the K4, and the data encoder for the K11 (as in Gmega). The only part I tried to order from them they didn't have was the black keys for the K4. Another display/backlight option for you: I've just successfully replaced an original display with a transflective one with LED backlight, and it's good.
