Hi all,
I'm a new owner of a well preserved K5m Module which only needs a new lcd backlight ( have it here)
and..... it is the first ROM version 1.0 installed.
Is here anybody who has an idea, where i can get the ROM 1.2 upgrade?
I'm living in Germany and so it would be perfect if somebody is here in Europe :)

Hi Peter,

 I can't help with the Rom image but check the solder connections on your inverter as it fixed my K5 keyboard backlight.

You can find the ROM image is in the files section of this yahoo group.
About the backlight, you should consider intalling a newer LCD display 
with LED backlight, for example:

I made a group buy a few years ago (bought an EEPROM programmer and a bunch of blank EEPROMS). I could hopefully still have a few spares for the K5m in a drawer.

Hi Antoine,
thanks a lot for your answer. It would be great if there is a spare EPROM available with the K5m 1.2
in your drawer :)
I just checked your shop website http://dmsaudio.ca/store/, mentioned in a post earlier, but it looks like that it's no more available.
Could you please please check it and let me know? I really would appreciate it, because i just got
the info from KAWAI, that the original ROM ist no more available worldwide.
Do you still have your PAYPAL account?

new development at my K5m ROM issue:
I just found someone here in Germany in my area who can program the EPROM for me from the hex file.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
