I just uploaded an update version of an .xls tool,
EnvelopOptimizerV1(EO), to generate envelops and to assign harmonics
to the best fitting envelop. It is based roughly on wavescanning.
Here is how I used it: I took a 3 sec. or so sample from a PPG sweep
and played it on Leslie's Wave Analyzer (WA). I used WA to take a
snap shot of the the sample basically at the start, second 1, second
2, and second 3. I then had four different K5 waves. I manually
transferred the data from each of the four waves from WA and put them
in EO. I put in some general info for the envelope stage times, and
ran EO.
EO then generated four envelops and then best-fit each harmonic of the
start wave to one of these four envelopes.
I uploaded the start wave from WA to my K5, and then manually loaded
the envelope and harmonic assignment generated in EO to my K5. The
results are interesting, but because it is all manual it is a lot of work.
Anyway, what would make this interaction between WA and EO much, much
better is if I could copy/past data between WA and EO and if WA could
send envelop and harmonic envelop assignment to my K5.
Anyway, I hope people will give EO a try. Just a warning, when you
use the "BestFit" mode of EO, it tries something like 2.5million
different envelope combinations. It takes about 10mins on a 1GHz
machine.
