Kawai Synthesizers

hi, i have recently been lucky enough to acquire from my aunt an old 
K4 and also a Q80.  I have been able to figure out with a little 
research and a whole lot of fiddling how most of the functions work 
on the K4 as far as creating my sounds.  The Q80 is not so 
intuitive.  Also, my aunt has not been able to find the adapter for 
the K4, but the one for the Q80 works for it, but this means i can 
only use one or the other at once.  but i do have an old portable 
yamaha keyboard that i can use to try to learn how to use the Q80.  i 
have also found the pdf manual for it and downloaded it yesterday.  
but i'm still pretty lost with it.  As far as the K4, i've downloaded 
a program for it, K4v311, and i'm trying to learn how to use it and 
also how to just communicate between the synth and computer in 
general.  I've been able to send stuff from the synth to a midi 
recording program on the computer, but i can't get the synth to 
respond to anything coming from the computer.  i'd like to be able to 
use the k4 program to edit sounds and upload some patches from the 
computer.  i wish i knew better questions to ask but i'm in over my 
head right now.  i guess for right now i just want to know how to get 
the k4 to accept and respond to stuff from the computer.  thanks, and
