Some problem with the switch (or LED or photo component) checking the write protection tab on floppy? Maybe there's some problem there and OS thinks disk is write protected. Some dirtiness there? Try to clean FDD inside, and reseat carefully all connectors. Do you have a chance to try different compatible FDD? This way you will check if FDD controller chip is OK. This machine can use only DD floppies, do you use HD disks with closed hole formatted to DD size? That can cause problems... And don't forget one disk can have maximally 112 files, even when their total capacity is much less then 720 kB. Number of files in directory is limited to 112. Maybe your disk used all this capacity. Try to use new disk for saving data. Daniel Forro On 24 Jun, 2014, at 1:38 PM, gamezr01@... [kawaisynths] wrote: Here I go again with this thing. I can't believe I finally figure out how to use the Q-80 and then this happens. I can save patterns internally, but can't save to disk. There is no "disk unavailable" message, loose cables, or Anything else. The strangest thing is I can load from disk. Has this happened to anyone? I even tried a factory reset, but that didn't fix it.
