Re: [kawaisynths] Kawai XD-5 Not Receiving/Recognizing Patch Data

2014-10-13 by Daniel Forró

Do you mean the instrument doesn't receive its own data which you have
sent to the same SysEx librarian? And such transfers work with your
other instruments?

I don't know much about this instrument but try these common sense
steps:
In the instrument:
- check if some Memory Protect function is not switched on
- check if the receiving of SysEx data is not blocked or switched off
- check if the receiving MIDI channel is not different from the
transmitting channel
- check if the Device number (when there's some) is properly set

In the computer:
- try different hardware (MIDI interface) with the same software
- try different software with the same hardware (SysEx data can be
recorded and transmitted from sequencer as well)
- try different computer
- check the setting for transmitting SysEx data
