For the K1, I have the one from the Kawai site but I'm looking for
something different like ambient synth textures and not the normal
bass piano and so on.

You will find them on the net (iv seen em). Maybe not for the k1, but for
k4, yes.

Check out Midiquest, it enables you to do the patching from your screen!

Re: New Patches

Hi, I started playing around with a K1, i got from a friend. I tried
the Patches in the Files Section and there are some nice ones but
also a lot that I think are pretty boring.

So I wanted to ask, like Syntrx99, wether some of you have other
Patches. Like rythmic patterns, Textures and so on.

Hello: You can find 'support' for your K1 Kawai, at site: kawaius.com
There are manual, and various items as libraries, patches (zip file),
multipatches & smf (zip)...Read you.

Thanks, but I already tried these sounds... I'm looking for others
than copies of real instruments...
btw. I'm from Germany and my english is not good enough for the
english manual, so I can't really figure out, how to create own sounds...

Hello : I am Eduardo and I live in Chile, Southamerica. I think that you must read your K1 manual and try to apply the instructions for create new sounds. I own Kawai K4R module, and it is very easy create sounds from ZERO. Read your manual and try again. My additional keyboard's equipment is:Ensoniq SQ1+ synthesyzer, KAWAI FS690 and CASIO CT-670. I play at SQ1+, MIDIslaving K4R and mixing all sounds. I have the Q80 Kawai Sequencer, RY10 Yamaha drummachine and I bought recently MR8 FOSTEX Compact flash multi8tracks. Before I was recording in MT100II YAMAHA cassettes multi4tracks. Mainly I play guitar as a soloist. I like instrumental music, like THE SHADOWS themes, music like that for to play. Is easy to produce and record. Well ! Tell me about your K1 results...Salute.

Well, the problem is, that I got the K1 without a german manual and my
english is not good enough for the english manual. Unfortunately Kawai
wants a lot of money for a printed german manual and they don't offer
a digitalized copy :(

K1 was introduced 'brand new' in GERMANY, too. Some keyboardist from that years, will preserve a 'german manual'. You must post your petition at a german site like this.
