Q80 sequencer, SMF

Hello: I know that MIDI tracks recorded within the Q80 sequencer can only be read through the Q80 itself. What software changes 'common' MIDI files, to be managed by the Q80 seq ? I am confused about: SMF 0 & SMF 1. Other SMF, are there ? Thanks a lot...!
