RE: [korgpolyex] Wanted: busted Poly-800

2005-01-16 by John Tang

My Poly800 died 2 years ago after I left the batteries inside
and the leak from the batteries killed the synth.

Anyone knows how to remedy the synth ???
I bought it for SG$300.00

Hi Bobbi
Well its totally dead. Ive had a look inside but
cannot find the fault. The only thing i have found is
that when power is swicthed on, when having headphones
on i can hear the electricity rush through the board
like a click noise then low hum.
Nothing on the display either. I bought it on eay for
\ufffd40 thinking i could fix it but im not as good with
electronics as i had thought. I have kept it for 2
years as spares incase my working poly died.

Regards
Neil
