A decent quality mp3 might "sound" right, but how would it go for data transfer stuff? I'm still yet to get patches to transfer properly via audio - the most I've got is about a quarter of a set, which is all that's on my poly at the moment... Does anyone know anything about the data-to-audio / audio-to-data method that is used? ie., do you think it would be possible to make up some program that could analyse a wav file and extract the patch settings from it? Could be a first step to creating a reverse process whereby you could program all your patches using virtual knobs on your computer, write these settings to a wav file, then dump it to the poly?
