i like the arpeggiator on the dw8000(except that it doesn't transmit midi), especially it's ability to latch and remember the order of keypresses. if it had the ability to enter a rest, it would be a step sequencer. as long as you keep one note held down, it will remember up to 64 notes in the order you play them. you can then choose to repeat that cycle once, twice(through 2 octaves), or five times(through 5 octaves). so you can have an arpeggiation that repeats every 320 notes. regarding naming the beast - korg backwards is grok, which some may remember, from robert a. heinlein's "stranger in a strange land", is the all-encompassing word for complete understanding, communication, love, etc. mike, what you are doing is ama-za-zing! shayne
