Sorry I wasn't here when you discussed the finer details of this
upgrade. To save me the trouble of searching the archives could you
repeat the description of what exactly the Hawk upgrade will do? As
in, what all the 'MIDI stuff' refers to specifically? I assume it
will give my Poly 800 the functionality of the EX 800, and I
understand the extra functions the EX/MK2 rom provides, but what are
the additional functions provided by the Hawk upgrade? Also is the
Hawk memory backed up with its own battery for those of us without
battery-backed up Poly 800s? Thanks!

So you mean the Tomahawk gives you midi (CC?) control over the FM and
Moog slayer mods?

The second kit seems pretty expensive, more than I paid for the Poly
800 itself. Although I'd love to get my hands on the 12/24 filter, I
think I will probably order the Hawk kit only and install the usual
FM & Moog Slayer hacks myself.
