there's a detune parameter, right? would it be feasible to assign 
modulation (ENV, LFO, etc) to the detune?

that would effectively allow the desired result... or would that also have 
too much coding/CPU overheard? or would it produce a zipper, which would 
sound like crap (zipper on some parameters could sound funky, but on a DCO 
tune it would sound like crap)?
