I would say not... Even the voltage regulator transistor Q1 doesn't have a heat sink on it, and it looks like its collector is tied directly to the NEG rail on the DC jack.. 5V on pin 6 is excellent! I cannot get my poly 800 to supply this without using the batteries... But I would say that Q18 should NOT hot.... Its collector looks to be hooked up to some sort of transformer? Maybe test the voltage on that? Cheers, Nate
