See the boot upgrade instructions here hawk800 / Discussion / HAWK Software:How to upgrade boot software on HAWK boards V1.5 and up

Once you send the boot.syx to the synth using the flash utility, you then have to power off Poly, open her up, and swap the boot ROM flash chip with the flash ROM right next to it.

Did you swap the RAM chips over yet?
You do know that you must take the RAM chip you just flashed with the new version Boot Code and swap it over to the Boot Chip socket, right?
Otherwise, it will continue to boot on the old Boot Code and also wont load up the HAWK firmware since that chip is now the new Boot Code, not firmware for the synth.

Once you swap it over, check that it boots to the right version, then you can flash your old boot chip to the new HAWK firmware.
