Hi Poly Fans, Just a quick note to let you know that I've been swamped at work and have not touched the EX 800 firmware upgrade since I last emailed some time ago. But do not fear, I will be back to it quite soon. Besides, sometimes I find that it's useful to take a break and be distracted by something else so that I can return to the project with renewed vigor. Mike.

What benefits would the new fiurmware offer? Erik --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "korgpolyex800" <korgpolyex800@...> wrote:

I just checked old messages, no need to reply to my last...Sounds awesome, where do I sign up? :) Controlling ex-800 from midi? If this works, it'll make the ex a powerhouse once again. As far as suggestions for controllers that should be assigned, ALL OF EM! (if possible) Then I can write a graphical editor and post it for all to enjoy...At the minimum, Cutoff, Resonance, chorus on\off, waveform DCO1\2, and envelopes DEG1\2... Hi Erik, The upgrade is coming along slowly. I've been very busy with work lately and also my prototype hardware developed a problem which I only just discovered and fixed today. I have a simple website where I'm tracking the work so far. Check it out at http://patrioticduo.tripod.com/korgpoly800ex800mkiii/. Erik, I have been having a go at writing my own patch editor using jsynthlib to support the new sysex functions I've been adding in to the EX800. If you were going to write your own, how would you do it? Mike. --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "Erik Hines" <sablerock@...> wrote:

To keep it simple, I'd probably make a cubase based mixermap\device control set. I'm not very familiar with Cubase (although I have the lite version). Are you able to define the sysex message format as part of the device control set? Mike. --- In korgpolyex@yahoogroups.com, "Erik Hines" <sablerock@...> wrote:
