problems with Moog-Slayer & FM-800 mods

Hello. My first post. I have been browsing the group quite a bit though. When I read about the Atom Smasher mods, I was very interested so I decided to try them (my first mod experience). I did the Moog-Slayer mod last week. It was a success. I did the FM-800 mod yesterday. It was a success except--- the Moog-Slayer mod no longer works properly. What is happening is that the cutoff knob only slightly changes the sound (even when set to 99) and the resonance knob only lowers the volume of the synth. The cuttoff and resonance knobs are doing this even with the FM-800 knob all the way off. I have checked all of my wiring and everything seems correct. I even unhooked the FM-800 mod to see if the Moog-Slayer mod was still working. It works perfect with the FM-800 mod unhooked. I hooked everything back up and am still getting the same results (Moog-Slayer not working).
