collect a free 'instant' virus today!

collect a free 'instant' virus today!

Please don't click on the link contained in the email from Brenda. And if you run Windows software, make sure your antivirus software is up to date.

Interesting what lengths spammers will go to these days. "Brenda" actually asked to join the group with a reasonable explanation as owning a Korg Poly 800 from years ago etc. So I let her join. I wonder if Brenda was real or a 'bot?

I certainly couldn't tell either way. But she has been removed from the list.

Dear Members

Just wanted to say a quick hello to the group, and send you a FREE
gift link I just recieved...enjoy!

My friend works for a big company and he sends these freebies to his
customers every month. I tried it and it works!, I collected some
free books and music, INSTANTLY!...so I thought it would be nice to
share it with the group!

All you have to do is click the link below, then click the text link
at the bottom of the message and you will be taken to a 'gift
selection' page. Simply choose which gift you want, and they send it
to you... its as easy at that!

Visit: http://moourl.com/giftselect

This is a genuine offer with no catches. Once you get your gift, be
thoughtful, and pass the link to all your family and friends!

Take care and have a great week!

Brenda

He He... I have a lot of fun managing the 20 or so groups I take care
of. The easiest way is set everyone to be moderated until they prove
themselves to be worthy...

By the way congrats on all your hard work paying off!!! I almost got
a Poly-800 last week but was sniped at the last minute. Oh well...

Hi Fran,

Better luck next time a Poly comes up on ebay. I am kicking myself for
not having bid on the last MK2 that came along since I now realize the
MK2's don't come along that often.

I didn't know I could add a user in moderated mode. I'll check that out.

Ever since I made the kit available it has become suddenly quiet on
this list. Great to hear from ya!

Mike.

Hey don't blame us for your kit being the most exciting thing that ever
happened to the Poly 800. That's your fault! You'd better get used to
it being the main topic of discussion around here from now on..

Should I create a new list or stay here?

2008-05-25 by korgpolyex800

For those of you that have no intention of upgrading your Poly 800, it
might be worth me asking if you would prefer that I create a new list
for those who do upgrade their Poly.

So I put it out there to all of you. Would you rather that I go create
a new list or is it OK to keep the HAWK-800 and AtomaHawk-800
conversation on this list?

Mike.

I didn't bought the kit yet, but is good to know what happens with it.
So, in my opinion the modification related discussion isn't a diferents
stuff.

I don't say much here but I read every word and enjoy following the
advances of your upgrade. Since the Poly I use belongs to my cousin and
not me I will not upgrade it. That dosen't make it less interesting for
me to hear about the new technology. If you split off I think you will
just make most of us have two groups to monitor.

Mike,
Please keep us (or at least me) on the list.
I enjoy reading about the progress you have made.
I may want to upgrade my Poly soon...
Good job,
Joe

Many of the older lists aren't very active. Unless you want to count
the bot ridden groups. The P2k group has nearly 2000 members and not
that much activity. You keep this group moving with many members
waiting for the next update from your wizardry. I can rebuild synths
in my spare time and I love writing patches but I ain't no code
meister. How would a noobie figure out there was a HAWK-800?
Personally I am all for these discussions. Atom pipes in and adds
tech advice when he can. I like to collect the old docs when they
show up on Ebay. Etc, etc...

Just hanging out here fooling with some up to 16 layer patches in a
freshly repaired MR-Rack I picked up. The volume pot and the encoders
were whacked bad. Not anymore! Fun to figure out this thing in
Midiquest. I even crashed it bad enough to need a hard reset. Must be
learning something???

I looked around for a Poly-800II but the only one I found was $279
from MusicGoRound. Ouch!!!! Daddy's had one but it's gone.

Got any plans for an editor? Fran

Keep it here on this list.

I think it's precisely the things that should be discussed here.

I think it would be good to keep it here for now so we can; monitor what is going on.

once the mk3 incorporates full control via CCs/NRPNs it would be
reasonably simple to make an editor.

I will probably never upgrade my EX-800 but I like reading about all
the modifications. One list!

I think you should take this project somewhere else, i mean no one really is interested are they?

mike i think there are so many newsgroups that have nothing new to offer, it would be an absolute shame to take this discussion elsewhere!
keep it on topic, and make the topic Korg Poly EX Hawk 800's

keep up the awesome work

I vote that you keep it on this group. I fully intended to be first in line for the kits, but got blindside by some veterinary bills. So, uh, keep making em and posting about em!
thanks!
