HI EVERYoNE!

HI EVERYoNE!

2002-07-15 by boneyhands

I'm a new member... I've had my Korg poly 800 about 9 years now, I
love it! I havent had any problems with it until recently...it seems
like after all of these years, the joystick has finally given out. It
sends random CC's to the computer every minute or so.. I took the
keyboard apart, used some deoxit on the connector but that did not
help. The joystick part actually seems to be a bit loose, so
everytime i hit the keyboard it wiggles just enough to send a small
MIDI message. Obviously the Korg poly 800 is a horrible controller
but its the only external keyboard I have right now, and I imagine
the joystick is only going to get worse. Do any of you have a dead
korg poly 800 with a functional joystick that you could sell to me so
i can replace it? :)

after reading the messages i know there are a few of you out there
with dead korgs...

ok!

thanks!

Maybe all that is necessary is to have someone replace the 2 potentiometers
on the joystick board with new ones, might be easier than tracking down the
whole joystick board. If the pots are old and dirty/scratchy, they might be
sendin' out some weird voltage garbage which is confusin' the midi stream.

just a thought
