Hi all,

Hi all,

2001-10-05 by Olaf

I'm so glad that I can join you because I bought my Poly800 today!
(280 Deutsche Mark at e-bay incl. flightcase).

It was so typically for second hands: no manual, no AC-adaptor, no
other things. And most of the sounds were crackling and rumbling and
noisy (voltage-off problem?). But, the poly looks very fine and
clean, no damage, no modification (so I can start on my own!).

I startet with putting your factory-wav-sounds. Only once I got the
message "good", most time I got "err". But it seems that it loads
most of the sounds anyway?

Who can give me hints on optimizing load from tape?
(I use a soundcard ear phone plug directly)

Second question (mainly to Stèphane):
Does anyone have good quality (e. g. greyscale) versions of the
manual (less than 17 MBytes)?
Or can send a printed/copied sheets of paper?
Or an origin manual?

It's not really necessary, but I think it's nice to have origin
manuals. (I already downloaded the black and white sheets).

Third question:
Does anyone have an origin list of the factory sounds?
It would be nice to get the names created by Korg itself.

Seems to be enough for today. Tomorrow I'll buy a AC-adaptor, and
play with my new synth-

Greetings,

Olaf
