Im a new user.... Every time i switch on the ex800 i have to activate program change option on the midi menu, it is normal?

no all the settings should stay as they where when switched off.
i have just spent a hour pulling my hair out trying to set up the x800 and a dx100 thru midi so they will stop playing the same notesa at the same time.
so i can understand your fustration
