You are describing one of my favorite activities. That and diving.
I actually prefer diving but a lot of people I swim with get
overwhelmed by swimming in the actual deep ocean but are not
threatened by tide pools which are fun too. Regarding your question
I didn't actually say "piles" I said piled stone meaning that the
jetty is just a pile of rocks and gravel.
