Someone mentioned open transport as the culprit. There is a bug in some
versions of open transport which DOES cause this problem. If this is
the problem, it will only happen if you have this setup in your TCP/IP
control panel.

Connect Via: Ethernet
Configure using DHCP SERVER

Switch it to "Configure manually" and it will fix that particular bug.
