zoinks!

i'm Carl, i write psytrance dittys as Bokonon. my icq# is 2585420 and
i'm [bokonon] on EfNet irc servers (www.mirc.com for client software)

i have a few newbie recording questions...

1. i have all of my audiotracks arranged but i want to record the
mixer fader movements so i can mix in/out my tracks over the course
of the song. whenever i record, it doesnt save the changes. is there
like a hyper editor where i can draw the volume over the course of
whatever bars i have selected, what is the most efficient way to do
this?

2. also i want to be able to record the parameter changes in my
effects (eq, noise gate threshhold) so they can change over the
course of the song. can i record the slider movements or do i have to
somehow assign some midi controller to it? (if i have to assign a
midi controller, how would i do that?)

much thanks and appreciation to anyone who can help me. you'll have a
spot in the album credits :)

(wow, this program blows Fakewalk away)
