I think FDR >supported Israel so the Jews wouldn't get South Dakota. There is no shortage of Jewish Americans who trace their heritage to those fleeing Europe in the 1930's and 1940's. I think its a bit like Pakistan and Iran who have taken in plenty of Afgans, but have to draw the line somewhere and say enough is enough. I wonder why the Jews didn't go back to Europe after WWII. The Nazis were defeated. There was a land that needed rebuilding where they spoke the language and owned land and businesses. Why go to some distant place and kick some other people out of their homes?
