Are you sure it wasn't set to SPDIF or so? I once forgot that I had put
the audio output of Soundforge on SPDIF and in the driver I had set the
SPDIF to ADAT. So signal was going out, but it wasn't what I wanted it
to be... :-)

That's ok.

Of course not, since there's no master! You have to set the convertor or
the Hammerfall to master... no master clock means asking for trouble.

I don't think it's a hardware problem. Send me a screenshot of your
Hammerfall driver and I'll take a look at it. I think that's the cause.
Or maybe it's just the cable???? Or maybe you're trying to play back at
the wrong sampling frequency?
