let me make this point absolutely clear. IGNORE THE ENTIRE TRANCE SECTION OF THAT ARTICLE. for gods sakes the first sentense says 'trance is basically house music' nothing is farther from the truth. if you want to hear some good trance check out these folks..... they make really psychedelic powerful trance, not the ravey e-tard bouncy techno... 2 distinctly seperate genres... (i hate the word genre, i just used it generally to get the point across) Hallucinogen, X-Dream, Infected Mushroom, Shpongle, Etnica, Tristan, Growling Mad Scientists, Green Nuns of the Revolution, Man With No Name, Jaia, Juno Reactor.... the list of good stuff goes on and on, dont get sucked into the mainstream, watered down, wussy trance. if you want to hear some of these artists, check out www.x-radio.com, www.cdnow.com, www.spectralpsy.com i'd be happy to give more info if anyone digs those wicked analog crunchy raspy mind melting brain bending sounds. -Carl icq# - 2585420 >From: Doug Slick <dslick@...> >Reply-To: logic-ot@egroups.com >To: logic-ot@egroups.com >Subject: [L-OT] Dance Music Labels >Date: Fri, 5 May 2000 11:20:18 -0400 > >Hey all, > > This is a very informative site for anyone interested in the >sounds behind current dance music labels (big beat, house, etc.). > >http://www.nytimes.com/library/music/talking-music.html >-- >Doug ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
