My computer got the Badtrans virus twice, the other week, and ZoneAlarm stopped it from accessing the internet to spread itself- Zone alarm asks you "yes or no" if a program tries to access the internet. Then the last line of defense against viruses or trojans is the users common sense. Badtrans creates a file called kernel32.exe which sounds like a real windoze file but isnt. This kind of $h!t makes me wish I'd saved up and bought a Mac :-) Zonealarm is free- and has proved itself worth having on my PC. ----- Original Message ----- From: <litepipe@...> To: <logic-ot@yahoogroups.com> Sent: 02 December 2001 03:54 Subject: [L-OT] Re: Personal firewalls/MS security > --- In logic-ot@y..., soreyenus@y... wrote: > > Greetings all! > > When you have these products, though, make sure you update the > > firewall regularly, if applicable.
