My computer got the Badtrans virus twice, the other week, and ZoneAlarm
stopped it from accessing the internet to spread itself- Zone alarm asks you
"yes or no" if a program tries to access the internet.

Then the last line of defense against viruses or trojans is the users common
sense. Badtrans creates a file called kernel32.exe which sounds like a real
windoze file but isnt.

This kind of $h!t makes me wish I'd saved up and bought a Mac :-)

Zonealarm is free- and has proved itself worth having on my PC.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
